Big Oaks is
located in Citrus County Florida on the "Nature Coast",and
situated on the banks of the Withlacoochee River which slowly flows
through the sleepy little town of Inglis and on out to the
Gulf of Mexico.
Big Oaks River Resort lives upto its name
with three acres of recreation and accomodations shaded
with enormous, ancient, majestic oaks, a beautiful
backdrop for cabin camping or hooking up your RV. At Big
Oaks River Resort you can just disappear and relax in the shade
under one of the giant oaks or for the more active enjoy world-class
bass fishing as well as brim and catfish. Rent a pontoon
boat, jon boat, paddle boat, canoe or kayak or bring your
own boat and put in at our boat ramp on site. All the
supplies you need are available in our camp store.
Just down
the road in Crystal River you can go on a guided manatee tour or
even snorkel and swim with the manatee at one on the many local
diveshops. These endangered, gentle giants make the warm, spring-fed
waters of Crystal River and King's Bay their home, where people
travel from around the world to observe
them.
